Carlos Alcaraz is the current leader in tennis prize money won so far this year (up to 26 August) with Iga Świątek leading the charge for women.

21 year old Carlos Alcaraz took home $2.6 million when he won the French Open in June and then another $3.5 million with his second consecutive Wimbledon title in July, bringing the Spaniard's year-to-date tally to $8.02 million.
23 year old Iga Świątek, the other singles winner at Roland Garros, ranks third with $6.99 million in year-to-date prize money. The women’s world No. 1 received the same payout as Alcaraz for her win in France.
Despite their young ages, Świątek and Alcaraz already rank ninth all-time in WTA and ATP prize money, respectively, each with totals of more than $30 million.
Jannik Sinner, who won the Australian Open in January to earn roughly $2.1 million, ranks on par with Swiatek in 2024 winnings, with a tally so far this year of $6.99 million.
Here are the figures for the rest of the top 10 earners:
Alexander Zverev $5.76m
Aryna Sabalenka $4.38m
Jasmine Paolini $4.32m
Daniil Medvedev $3.93m
Novak Djokovic $3.62m
Barbora Krejcikova $3.5m
Casper Ruud $3.45m
No doubt the numbers and some of the ranking positions will change when the US Open concludes on 9 September.
