You couldn't have failed to be aware of the hype (and numerous memes) that has been dominating both social and mainstream media over the past few weeks regarding 'Barbenheimer', the movie portmanteau of Barbie and Oppenheimer.
Box office records have been smashed left, right and centre, and the hype seems to be continuing relatively unabated even though the opening weekend has now passed. In amongst all this media furore, a middle aged woman called Barb Heimer has found herself unexpectedly and unwittingly caught up in the eye of the storm.
The chatter reached fever pitch when a user stumbled across the Facebook profile of a woman with a “phenomenal” name, Barb Heimer. One user joked it was “a huge weekend for her”, and another commented: “Please tell me her middle name starts with an N”.
A fictional Barbenheimer poster showing the all-star casts of both movies has now, perhaps unsurprisingly, has had Barb’s profile picture Photoshopped onto it too.
Can you spot her?
She’s “so Barbie”, one user commented.
No doubt Barb Heimer is looking forward to everything quietening down and for her life getting back to normal in the not too distant future.
Warhol apparently once said: "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes." Well, for Barb, that prediction has indeed come true.
