Agnomen: An additional name or an epithet appended to a name (as in 'Ferdinand the Great').
Aptronym: A name that suits its owner. Like William Wordsworth, the poet; or Sara Blizzard, the BBC weather presenter.
Brachiation: A form of arboreal locomotion in which primates swing from tree limb to tree limb using only their arms.
Euphonism: Custom of using pleasing sounding words. Such as: The car isn't used; it's “certified pre-owned;” or she's not sick; she's “under the weather.”
Idioglossia: Private language developed between children.
Galactophagist: Milk drinker.
Mellaginous: Like or pertaining to or resembling honey.
Misophonia: A condition characterised by an emotional reaction to certain noises - like someone chewing noisily.
Obsolagnium: The waning of sexual desire due to age.
Paromoeon: Alliteration taken to an extreme where nearly every word in a sentence begins with the same consonant.
Promptuary: A reference book of facts.
Solander: A book-form case used for storing manuscripts, documents etc.
