Bold design and impressive specifications set the P1 apart from its more traditional looking electric two-wheel counterparts.

Infinite Machine, P1's manufacturer, is on a mission to convince Joe Public that the "best way to move past cars is to make inspiring alternatives to them. That is the animating spirit of our company," says the firm's website. In efforts to reduce emissions, the firm believes that the transition to EVs would be more effective if electric two-wheelers were given more importance, especially in busy cities.
It's radical design - and excellent specs and features - has obviously caught the imagination of consumers as Infinite Machine has already sold out the first 1,000 units which were put up for pre-orders on the website for a $1,000 deposit. It's expected that the retail price will be around $10,000. So, what does your money get you?
The firm claims the performance figures make it the "fastest product in its class" with a top speed of 55 mph (88 kmh) and a range of of up to 60 miles (96 km). Surely more than enough for metropolitan motoring. The bike's battery is removable, so you can take into your home and charge it up, using a standard plug.
According to the firm, the P1 is also the first model to feature Andriod Auto and CarPlay integration that allows riders to sync their devices and to use maps or songs through its external speakers. The infotainment system also features over-the-air updates and works with an anti-theft system to both track your scooter and lock it up in case someone tries to steal it.
Cleverly, the specifications also allow the P1 to be restricted to a max speed of 35 mph (56 kmh) - so those who don't have a motorbike license can use it as a scooter.
